Blood Drive

The parish blood drive is scheduled for Sunday October 25, 8:00 am-12:30 pm. Safety precautions for the blood drive will include a complete sanitizing of the space before the drive opens, greeting donors at the school entrance and direction on where to wait safely until called to begin the check in process. Masks will be required and those that don’t have one will be given one when arriving. Each station that a donor stops at will be wiped down between donors. The canteen will be individual spaces at the exit rather than a group table.

Appointments are required but can be made the day of the drive, just stop in and we can fit you into the next available time slot. For appointments ahead of time call 314-353-6303

CDC Guidelines: Who Needs to Quarantine?

Quarantine is used to keep someone who has been exposed to COVID-19 away from others. Quarantine helps prevent spread of disease that can occur before a person knows they are sick or if they are infected with the virus without feeling symptoms. People in quarantine should stay home, separate themselves from others, monitor their health, and follow directions from their state or local health department.

What counts as an exposure to Covid -19?

  • You were within 6 feet of someone who has COVID-19 for a total of 15 minutes or more without both wearing a mask
  • You provided care at home to someone who is sick with COVID-19
  • You had direct physical contact with the person (hugged or kissed them)
  • You shared eating or drinking utensils
  • They sneezed, coughed, or somehow got respiratory droplets on you

Steps to take:

  • Stay home and monitor your health for 10 days after your last exposure contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19
  • Watch for fever (100.4◦F), cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms of COVID-19
  • If getting tested, wait  5 to 7 days from the date of exposure
  • If possible, stay away from others in your household, especially people who are at higher risk for getting very sick from COVID-19

Release from quarantine for those who test positive and have mild to moderate illness, (who are not severely immunocompromised) when:

  • At least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared and
  • At least 24 hours have passed since last fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and
  • Symptoms have improved (e.g., cough, shortness of breath)

Those who were asymptomatic throughout their infection and not severely immunocompromised may be released from quarantine 10 days from the date of their first positive viral diagnostic test.

Services for Seniors:

In an effort to continue to keep our senior parishioners safe in their own homes, we have many volunteers available and ready to run errands for groceries and medications. We also have homemade masks available. Please call the rectory and leave a message for Judy if you need this service or if you need a mask.

I am also still happily taking donations of homemade masks, as well as looking for volunteers who can help make fan-fold disposable masks to provide for those who come to mass without a mask. I have a simple pattern that requires only two seams run on a sewing machine. The seams can be stapled as well. I will supply all the precut materials. 353-6303 or email at

To contact me, I am in the office most days between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, and on Saturday mornings. Call 353-6303 ext 125 or email
