Starting Monday, May 18 public Masses in the Archdiocese of St. Louis may resume. At the same time, the general dispensation from the Sunday Mass obligation will remain in place for all Catholics of the archdiocese until further notice, as many individuals continue to have concerns for the health and safety of themselves and their loved ones.
During this time, all churches are to remain open to individuals for personal prayer, devotions and confessions.
- Church is open for prayer. Please respect social distancing. A face mask must be worn at all times inside church.
- We will continue to live stream masses: Weekdays 8:00 am and Sundays 9:00 am until further notice.
- Confessions will be heard “behind the screen only” on Monday – Friday from 8:30 am-8:55 am and Saturdays 4:00 pm - 4:45 pm.
- Videos of Prayers and Spirital Worship can be found on Facebook Live Stream page and on the St. Gabriel YouTube Channel.

Archbishop Carlson has dispensed all the faithful from the obligation to attend Mass on Sunday. During this time consider making an Act of Spiritual Communion, where we unite ourselves to God through prayer. It is a beautiful way to express to God our desire to be united with him when we are unable to complete that union in the reception of Holy Communion.
The ultimate goal of our lives should be communion with God and an act of spiritual communion can help a person draw closer to that goal.
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
