Our collections this month will be delivered to St. Cronan’s Food Pantry. As our parish and all of the Archdiocese celebrates Gratitude and Generosity in this month of service, we give special attention to our Food for Life appeal. Our monthly collections of food are ideal reflections of both these attributes. We give thanks for the many blessings that we have and, as we’ve done for many years, we generously give to those in need. This outpouring of love is who we are as a church community.
Baskets will be placed at the front of church at the altar at all the Masses next weekend as well as over in the Francis Park during the Mass in the Grass.
Yellow bags are handed out each month to assist and remind folks to save up their donations and bring them to church on the first weekend of the month.
Suggestions of healthy food items and things most needed are written on the bags. However, it is okay to bring whatever you have available and to use any bags you have. All donations are welcome.
If you don’t have anything to spare or prefer monetary donations, they can be placed in the small baskets in front at the altar as well. Half of these moneys are distributed to the designated food pantry and half to our own St. Vincent DePaul Society helping folks in our immediate area. So, thank you for your donations in whatever form they come.
