Our donations this month will be delivered to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Food Pantry. At this time of year when we all give thanks for the many blessings bestowed on us we recognize too that many are not so fortunate. For the poor the means often do not exist to provide for the basic necessities of life. With our donations of food we can help others to enjoy the feelings of thanksgiving that we cherish.
Baskets will be in place on the altar at the Masses. Yellow bags are handed out each month to assist and remind folks to save up their donations and bring them to church on the first weekend of the month.
Suggestions of healthy food items and things most needed are written on the bags. However, it is okay to bring whatever you have available and to use any bags you have. All donations are welcome.
If you don’t have anything to spare or prefer monetary donations, they can be placed in the small baskets in front at the altar as well. Half of these moneys are distributed to the designated food pantry and half to our own St. Vincent DePaul Society helping folks in our immediate area. So, thank you for your donations in whatever form they come.
