“The best the surest and the most effective way
of establishing everlasting peace on the face of the earth
is through the great power of Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.”

--Pope Jean Paul II

Every day from 9:00 pm until 5:00 am, adorers come to the Church to pray before the Blessed Sacrament.  In the late 1940s, as they had made their parish the physical centerpiece of their community, the parishioners were also determined to make the church their spiritual center—a place of continual prayer.  They vowed that their beautiful new church would never be empty.

A parishioner, Mr. Henry Free, made that promise a reality.  In 1946, anticipating the construction and dedication of the new church building, Mr. Free founded the Perpetual Adoration Society.  For more than thirty-nine years, he headed the Society, and encouraged people to join the program and ensured that they kept their vigil.  This year, the sixty-fifth anniversary of the Perpetual Adoration Society, is a testament to the great love and devotion that Henry Free had for our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and for his neighbors. Because of security reasons, one must sign up in ADVANCE for a specific time of adoration.  The Church is locked at 9:00 pm and reopens at 5:00 am.
