College students, parents and grandparents of college students connect with your Newman Center and campus ministry before you leave for college.   The Newman Centers are NOT notified by colleges that Catholic students are on campus so many college students never locate their Catholic ministry or church at all. Your assistance is greatly needed to help our young people stay close to their faith and grow in their relationship with Our Lord.  It is through their connection with their college Catholic community that they will be able to make friends, continue their formation and grow as they discern what dire...

All parishioners are invited to join the St. Gabriel Adoration Society and spend at least one hour a month in church in prayer. All levels of commitment are welcome. Taking advantage of the gift of adoration is one of the best ways to draw closer to God. A holy hour is simply spending time in the presence of God. It's not a project to be accomplished but an exercise of love. You can read the bible or a spiritual book, say the Rosary, or just rest with the Lord. For a list of times available or for more details, call Veda Jeggle at 752-3109 or email Mary Beth Wolf at marybethluna@hotmail.com

On the weekend of Oct. 26 and 27, Khader & Mary Abu Sada a Catholic couple from the Holy Land will be visiting our parish to market olive wood hand carved religious articles made by the Christian artisans in the Holy Land.  With the hostilities worsening in the Holy Land and the lack of Christian pilgrims, the outlets for the olive wood hand-carvings have been closed, leading unemployment to increase up to 75%, and forcing many Christians to leave the Holy Land in order to find other ways to market their handiwork. But the absence of a living Christian community is disastrous for the Holy sites, such ...

We have received numerous phone calls  from parishioners who have received emails or text messages that appear to be from Msgr. Shamleffer requesting gift cards.  Please be aware that these requests are coming from scammers. The scammers create an email account using our pastor’s name and sending email or text messages. I and all Priests or pastors will never email or text parishioners looking for gift cards and would never send a business email from a private account such as @aol.com or @gmail.com
